Any suggestions on unique places for a wedding party to go to have group pictures taken after the wedding ceremony and before the reception? Wedding date is early June. Any help is appreciated!

Where (what part of town) will the wedding be held?
the steps of the museum are a classic spot
the botanical gardens are also great
Second vote for the museum. People also seem to like Side Cut and Wildwood Metroparks for pictures.
Toledo Botanical Gardens, Toledo Zoo, Toledo Museum of Art (though I think there are some retrictions), parks, even the homes of the parents...
Any special hobby? If so, such locations make memorable shots...
Consider Cullen Park in Point Place - it has the water as a background if you take pictures facing North without structures or buildings as backgrounds...
Historical buildings (Old West End, downtown, Ft. Meigs) also can be nice backdrops...
We got married at the Toledo Yacht Club, so we had the historical club as background, though I still regret that we didn't go out onto Dad's sailboat to have some of the pictures taken. :)

We had ours taken at the Docks, with the skyline of Toledo in the background.
The steps of the art museum are a wonderful choice, with formal columns & the ability to get unique angles for different pairs/groups. There are no restrictions on walking up to the museum and posing outside, but if you need indoors access you'll have to have permission (arranged in advance).
For a REALLY unique look, consult OhioKimono!
I second what Maggie said about a hobby, or even something sentimental to the wedding party. When a friend of my son's was married a few years ago, all of the guys in the wedding party grew up together playing baseball, Little League and high school. Among the various photo locations, they all went up to the Little League field where they used to play.
One of my favorite shots from that wedding is the groom crouched down behind home plate, while the bride is at bat. But the photos of the groomsmen on the field all together were very cool, and did a great job of capturing the essence of those friendships. I thought the photographer was a genius for thinking of that location!
My friend’s daughter had her reception out at Wildwood and they did a lot of the photos there. They had rented a vintage Rolls Royce to get from the ceremony to the reception and the photographer used that in several of the shots. There is a great photo of the bride standing at dusk, backlit by the headlights of the car. Given her dress style and hair, it’s very “Great Gatsbyish.” Very classic.
On the flip side, I know a couple who went to Ireland for their wedding and had the most beautiful backdrop, but a very unimaginative photographer. I felt their photos were a disappointment. So, find a GREAT photographer and he or she will make the most out of whatever location selected.
I suggest the Manor House at Wildwood and the gardens beside it. Also, there is the gazebo near by.

The grounds of the Wolcott House. A nice garden, old country church, railway depot... It's all very pretty.
These are all great suggestions! I'm going to look into the hobby suggestion and possibly the art museum. I can always count on this site for help! Thank you!
