Historic Oliver House
South Wing of the historic Oliver House (27 Broadway Street) is pleased to announce that it is the new home to North Coast Theatre, Blue Heron Gallery, and M.J. Erard Fine Art. A Grand Opening will be held on Friday, April 11, 6:00 - 10:00 p.m., and Saturday, April 12,6:00- 9:00 p.m.
To celebrate the opening, NCT will perform "Erie Invaders" at 7:30 and 9:00 p.m., April 11, and at 7:30 p.m. on April 12th. "Erie Invaders", a perennial favorite with NCT audiences, is a music/theater piece by Christine Child and David Jex. They are best known in Toledo for their opera "The Purple Gang" which was commissioned by the Toledo Opera.
Mary Jane Erard is the Gallery Director of the new Blue Heron Gallery and will begin her tenure with the Gallery's inaugural exhibition called "Ohio Fields", a collection of Ms. Erard's landscape paintings, which will open on April 11, 2008, running through May 23rd. In May, North Coast Theatre will perform "Vanishing Fields", a play adapted to accompany the exhibit "Ohio Fields." Performances will be held on Friday and Saturday evenings.
South Wing is also pleased to be the home to a rotating collection of Mary Jane Erard's paintings, which will be on continuous display in the M. J. Erard Fine Art Collection. More information regarding Mary Jane Erard's art career can be found on her Web site at http://landscapesinpastel.com.
