:NOT REALLY TOLEDO RELATED:
I always love odd events, and started enjoying the greatness of bats (every night those little fuckers eat upwards of 1000 mosquitoes each) when I went on a bat tour at Cranbrook Institute in Michigan. (http://science.cranbrook.edu/find-program-event/bat-shows). A must-do event, if you have the time. They also have a museum next to the bat area that is pretty decent and was holding the Jurassic Park exhibit.
Anyhow, for anyone bored on Saturday, the bat festival is happening in Southfield, Michigan. (http://mfea.org/event/great-lakes-bat-festival/). A fun event to learn lots of cool stuff -- and supposedly having one of the largest bats in captivity.
I wish Toledo Zoo would bring back the bat exhibit.
