vegan lentil soup.

I'd bake something but I am out of flour. :(

Oh, I make something similar to that soup - one of my favorite variations is to add some spinach at the end if you have some. Frozen is fine, in fact.

Also, I like to stir in some greek yogurt (temper it first so it doesn't curdle) and serve with sriracha.

Working from home on my online class shells for the spring semester, which starts next Monday. The storm has not really affected my workday so far, as I had already planned on working from home MON-TUE. Two meetings for tomorrow are already cancelled, and if the third one reschedules, I will work from home tomorrow, too (the drive to BGSU for one meeting sounds like a waste of time).

I also knocked out a few more pages on a book project, so it has been a productive Level-3 for me.

Thinned out my tie and cd collections. Will walk in to work for a little while this afternoon (less than a block away).

I am thinking about baking some bred also. Cleaning out a closet and a dresser maybe while that is rising and baking. I also have some old pictures from my parents that I want to scan into the computer and have digital.
Along with mindless eating and loosing IQ points watching daytime TV.

Level 3. Makes me think of Star Trek. What's the proper response to Queen To Queen's Level 3?

From all of this, some people will probably name their future kids "Level Three." Spelled differently, of course. Good name for a band.

Projects? A secure shell login to a cheapo Digital Ocean Linux server with root access is always a good time.

They were joking on the radio that "Polar Vortex" sounded like a band.

Washed the dog, rode heard on the kiddies to clean the house; monitored my eBay stuff and sucked up to customers 'cause I haven't been out to drop packages at the PO; prepping for two classes I teach that start Monday.

Unfortunately the hallway between my bedroom and my office isn't covered under the Level Three driving restrictions...so outside of my wife and kids being home as well, my Monday and Tuesday have been pretty much like every other Monday and Tuesday.

Jr: thanks for the Digital Ocean mention, I use Linode but D.O. looks even more cost effective.

Washed a few screens, got bored, made "Chop" for the cage birds who spent most of the day out of their cage and I just popped a couple of stuffed cornish game hens into the oven for supper.

Sewing some booties for the dog. Making Kummelfleisch, caraway goulash. Thanks for the yogurt tip, endcycle. I will stir some in, after tempering. Neighbors are taking down all their Xmas stuff, but I can't bring myself to do it. The Magi just pulled into Bethlehem yesterday, dammit!!!

Sylvester McCoy was pretty good, and Paul McGann didn't get a chance. He was pretty good in the movie and his short prequel to the War Doctor bit.

I've been trying to go cover-to-cover in the PLAYBOY HOST & BAR BOOK and make every cocktail in it. I started in October...the storm has allowed me to make some headway finally. It's a good bet I'll have no memory of this storm when it's all over, though <hic>

Jealous of all of you! I went into work Mon, but left after a few hours after getting pretty sick and having severe abdominal pain. Drove straight to the hospital where I have been ever since. Looks like an inflamed pancreas which means no food or drink at all. At home is a huge pot of soup and a killer meatloaf which I hope to enjoy before they have to be dumped! Thanks for the reminder on the Christmas stuff Viola, all of that is waiting for me too, ugh! To top it off, I am a weather freak and even though it sounds terrible outside, I still feel gypped that I missed the whole thing!

I typically work from home Monday through Thursday anyway, so it was business as usual for me. My colleagues who don't take their laptops home with them on a regular basis got a couple of days off, I guess. LOL!

Something about being snowed in brings out my inner (VERY deeply buried) Domestic Goddess. So far, I've made potato soup, creamy chicken soup, swiss steak, roast chicken, etc., and I am obsessed with keeping the house tidy, particularly the kitchen.

Underneath all that, I have been deeply grateful for this wonderful old house with her thick walls and good bones. We have stayed toasty warm, no frozen pipes or anything. They truly don't make 'em like this anymore.

Stayed up keeping the home fire burning, which in turn kept my mother's favorite son from freezing to death.
