"Beat the Heat" Promotion: Get Your Female Cat Fixed for $20!

The weather outside may be chilly, but for animal shelters and rescue groups, spring is just around the corner and the groups will become overwhelmed with requests to take in kittens who will be at risk for euthanasia due to cat homelessness. Get your female cat fixed for only $20 this February (normally $45) because unplanned births create millions of pets with no place to call home. "Beat the Heat" before spring by calling us at 419-266-5607 to make an appointment (must mention "Beat the Heat"). This promotion is available to anyone in Ohio or Michigan and is for owned cats only. Availability is limited. Funding generously provided by PetSmart Charities®.

Humane Ohio operates a non-profit, low-cost spay/neuter clinic to serve pet parents (Ohio and Michigan), people caring for outdoor community cats, animal shelters and rescue groups. We can offer low-cost spay/neuter prices because, as a non-profit organization, private donations and grants help cover the true, higher cost of spay/neuter procedures. Humane Ohio believes that all animals should receive the highest quality veterinary care possible even if the services rendered are at a reduced cost. All spay/neuter surgeries are performed by licensed veterinarians (DVMs) and every patient receives a brief physical exam and pain medication. The Humane Ohio Pet Food Bank makes pet food available to pet parents in need and to people caring for outdoor community cats in Lucas, Wood and Monroe counties. This program helps make sure that pets and stray cats in our community do not go hungry, it helps pet parents keep their pets even in tough financial times, and it helps ensure that people do not have to share their own meal with their pets and go hungry themselves.

I had a stray fixed at Humane Ohio a few years ago. Very affordable and professional. Vets are top notch! Thanks for all you do and for getting the word about spay and neuter. So important to preventing unwanted pets!

Thank you so much for your kind words! We fixed almost 13,000 animals in 2013 for a total of more than 70,000 since we opened our non-profit spay/neuter clinic in January 2006, and we appreciate all of our clients, volunteers and donors who play a huge part in helping us reduce pet overpopulation and shelter euthanasia. We are here to help people and animals through both our spay/neuter clinic and the Humane Ohio Pet Food Bank. Thank you for bringing a stray cat in to be fixed - spaying/neutering outdoor community cats plays a big, big part in reducing the number of kittens flooding animal shelters and rescue groups, and you forever changed the life of that little girl who will not have to go through life having litter after litter after litter.
