Helicopter circling

Does anyone know why there is a helicopter circling over the central city today? Can't find any mention of it on the news sites.

There is also one circling around the Waite High School area...

Is it a black helicopter, and are there military people with blue helmets nearby?

By the way, I think Lego is in on the whole New World Order thing:

You had to go there?

You're not supposed to find it mentioned on any of the news sites. Any idea why that is?

HistoryMike knows why the helicopter is circling; ask him if you don't believe me.

D) Someone with WAY too much money who said "I think I'll fly my helicopter around for a bit!"

Darn grrl you uncovered me. Might as well admit whenever you walk into a building and they list all the benefactors, donors and it says "a gift from anonymous... that's me.

Maybe a utility company examining sites and/or lines?

It looks and sounds like Cartys' old police helicopter.
Anyone know if the city still has a lease a helicopter?

Yes. A tiny one.

Might be doing a photo shoot. I have a photographer friend that often goes up in helicopters to document toledo.

Toledo's is actually a Robison R-22 the smallest they make. Obtained by federal grant we own it but all maintenance and operating cost are on us. Mine is much larger.

I stand corrected. I remember seeing it in the hangar at st. Vs and it was ridiculously small.

Paul, well by my Yardstick anyway. True story on Air One the police eggbeater. When it was first obtained and I was frequently on the river it used to fly up and down the river all the time. I worked myself into a real rage that those guys were just joyriding in the new toy looking for bikinis to oogle over. Then it dawned on me that they had to leave their assigned air space, the greater Toledo area in order to refuel at what was then Metcalf Field, now Toledo Executive, which was a straight line of sight down the river as the goose flys. I was all set to lodge a formal complaint with my accelerated blood pressure until the light bulb went on. It was good anger wasted but I'll look around and find something else rest assured.

That's because George Bush was at a speaking engagement at Riverside Park.

Down here, not up there.

But you know how his security is. They got the address wrong....

I was leaving the Toledo Business Tech building on the corner of 13th and Woodruff when that was circling. There were multiple police, firetrucks and ambulances at the apartment complex across the way on Woodruff. The helicopter seemed to be circling the scene but then I later saw it traveling a much larger area over the central city. No details for you but there was definitely something significant going on there.

TPD had a Robinson R44.

Not much difference between an R22 and an R44. You and I could pick it up and walk off with it. When I first saw it, dwarfed by a Life Flight Dauphin, I asked how big the remote control was.

The seats appeared to be child sized lawn chairs with the legs cut off.

They have one of those 4' tall sticks like Cedar Point. Must be shorter than the stick to fly in it.
