This is an amazing event. If you can go, make sure you do. It's intense and surreal.
I won't be there (riding in the Fete w/ AHMahler), but I hope the weather is good for you guys.
I cannot make it this year, but I rode it the past 2 years. It is a powerful and sobering event. I cannot recommend it enough.
The ride of silence is a remarkable thing to participate in. It's like a rolling memorial. The point is to make a visible statement that cyclists have a right to the road and to ask drivers, please be aware that in warmer weather more people are riding.
