Black Forest Cafe?

http://blackforestcafe.net/

I just heard from friends that they opened up a cafe in Oak Shade Grove out in Oregon that serves German fare.

Has anyone been there? Ordinarily you'd need to drive to ann arbor to get some german stuff

It's awesome: http://www.yelp.com/biz/black-forest-cafe-oregon

They keep their facebook page up to date with specials: https://www.facebook.com/Black.Forest.Cafe.Ohio

Burgers are GREAT. German good is authentic, and atmosphere is one of a kind. Highly recommended.

I learned about it from Anniecski who I believe is also a fan. :)

Yep. I love, love, love this place!

I've had their beef bourgignon, (which isn't German, I know), and WOW is it fantastic. My husband says their food is as good as anything he had when stationed in Germany.

My 10-year-old always gets the perch dinner, and she finishes it, which is saying a lot.

When you go, be sure to ask to sit in Anita's section, and tip big. :-)

I'm anxious to try it out. They should do a wee bit of marketing. I live and work near there and when I first saw the sign I was excited, but never went because I assumed with the odd hours it was another "Internet Cafe".

Nothing makes you feel more like a geek than when you show up with your laptop to an Internet Cafe looking for some coffee and see a bunch of cha cha ching machine. Sigh. Won't make that mistake again.

I'm guessing they don't need to spend the $$ on marketing. They likely have all the business they can handle via word of mouth.

Can't wait to try it.

Yeah, that's exactly what it is Foodie. We've been there for dinner, and literally everyone else on the patio was talking about the different german clubs they belong to. It's basically a wonderful clubhouse that allows the public in.

"They likely have all the business they can handle via word of mouth." .... um, yeah - must be why they stopped opening for Sunday brunch
