I live across the street from Parkway Plaza, which just opened a water distribution center there. Ran out there to get water. I tried to get water for my neighbor, who is an elderly disabled person, but I was told absolutely not! One water per person. They weren't nice about it, either. What a bunch of assholes. Good ole Toledo. Try and help the disabled is all I'm hearing on TV, but when you do, the police, sheriff, etc. each told me NO! Pisses me off. I will give the water I got for myself to my neighbor, since I am mobile and can go to the store. I was hoping to get free water, though, just once. Tired of having to pay for it.

People who are homebound, elderly, or disabled can call 419.329.6060 for water.
They've been saying all along that they won't give over the per-household limit for neighbors, etc. You're supposed to share whatever you get initially and then come back later for more. You probably would've had the same experience at many of the other water stations.
Very nice of you to want to help your neighbor. Did anyone ask your address? If not, I'd give it a few hours and then go back for more. Since they just opened the station, they probably want to be careful with the supply and make sure everyone gets "some" water rather than offering the early-comers "all the water they need" and risk running out of water.
It'll be OK. Take a breath, give the neighbor some of the water you don't immediately need, and go back later for more to split between yourself and your neighbor.
Thanks, Toledolen, for the phone number. I will pass that on to my neighbor. I am going out of town in a couple of days so at least she will be able to get water to her if she gets low.
jmleong, you're right. I need to take a breath. I'm a pretty laid back person, and here I am ranting about free water. Never thought that would ever happen. I am heading out to my sister's house to fill up some containers of well water. Then I'm going to kick back and float in her pool for the afternoon. Ahhh. Feeling better already...
Good for you!
This situation has many of us a little tense, for sure. But we'll get through it -- because there's no other option, ha.
