From a Jun 6, 2007 posting at the old Toledo Talk by jhostetler :
Don't worry, the huge, free-for-all art explosion that is Artomatic 419 hasn't gone anywhere, it's just in hiatus until 2008. In the meantime, we wanted to create a cool art experience that worked some different art muscles so we've created Artomatic 419 Lite, to be held this September 15 and 16 at Fort Industry Square.
It will be a two-day show of the best visual and performing arts that the Toledo area has to offer, with participants drawn from the coolest proposals we receive this summer. It will be, in effect, an entire building curated as an art show, offering an outlet for ideas that have been building in the minds of local artists. We are hoping to present multimedia work, performance and visual work, music, dance, painting, poetry, photography and theater.
Nothing is too wild to be considered, as long as its content is family friendly. Our aim is to produce an event that builds a larger audience for the arts as well as providing a backdrop and forum for continuing to build the Toledo arts community.
