2014 - 2015 Toledo Walleye

Just a few home games left in the regular season. This team is built to make a run at the Kelly Cup this year. Even if you aren't necessarily a hockey fan, the atmosphere alone at Huntington Center has made for a good night out.

It's always cool for the minors to be in a position to make something happen, too often they are picked over by their major league teams leaving them with no super talent to compete on their own level.

We went to last nights game. Had a real good time. They had a photo booth and it was completely free to take photos!

So neat!

The team is much improved this year. As a season ticket holder, I have enjoyed the effort. They are much grittier, possess more team speed and puck handling skills. The new coach has proven to be a good recruiter and game manager

Haven't gone to a game this year due to finances, but last couple years went as often as I could. Go Walleye!

Been having a blast attending the games here in the playoffs...last night was as loud and thunderous a crowd that I've seen in a while. If you can make it down to the Huntington Center for the rest of the playoffs, this team deserves the city's support.

I have season tickets, but opted not to buy playoff tickets. I just might need to go to the next series

A deep run into the playoffs won't hurt downtown establishments, especially the startups, for sure. Just another plus for the area. I'd love to see the Walleye win a championship....the timing would be pretty cool to coincide w somewhat of a downtown renaissance

I really like what the new coach has brought to this team. He recruited well and brought in speed, physical play, amongst others. In the past, people blamed the two team affiliation as a problem for the roster, but their next opponent has dual affiliation with the Capitals and Bruins. Vitucci did not recruit well and players did not want to play for him.

Viewing party at Huntington Center on Wednesday for game three. I don't have Buckeye, so I will be there.

3 game 7's and the last one was a heart breaker. 0-0 and South Carolina scores 5 minutes into the third overtime. Bummer but a great season nonetheless. Downtown certainly got a boost this season with Winterfest and the playoffs.
