The Mummy Got Punked! Batman Still Rules!

Boy, the X-FILES movie and Costner's latest one are two of the biggest bombs this year so far. They waited too long with X-Files-nobody gives a shit any more.
Don't know what the problem was with Costner-the promos he'd been doing looked like it might be funny. Damned shame-any of the idiots like Sandler or Farrell would have been in the top three, probably.
WALL-E still hangs in there.

I think the X-Files movie was more a labor of love other than a sure thing money maker. They knew what they would be up against in theaters and they really chopped the budget on this one (to 30MM) so it will still make a nice profit. Carter really seems to be passionate about it, which is always nice to see.

I would love to see TDK go on to be the terrible Titanics record, but looks doubtful.

I haven't seen a movie at the theater in ages but I agree with Ryan about the X-Fiiles movie, it was done for the fans of the show. Most likely, the profit will be in the DVD sales.

That's where the profit lies in MOST movies today. Years ago, they either made money or bombed...now, the theatrical release is just warming up for home video, which is getting to be about 3 months later these days.

Saw Dark Knight this afternoon. It really is exceptional. Maybe 20 or so minutes too long, but an amazing movie.

This is a very dark film, content-wise, even for a PG-13 rating. There were kids in there 8-9-10 years old and they should not have been there. They're going to have some nightmares.

It was an OK movie. The biggest negative for me...I hate Christian Bale's Batman. I don't get his low scruffy voice he does in costume. It just made me laugh at how stupid it really sounded.
