Uncle Ted can still pull em in.
I much prefer concerts with reserved seating, but that isn't gonna happen at the riboff I guess.

I do wonder why they can't use the old stadium for concerts.
If they are going to just have a huge mass of bodies in an open field, they could at least use stanchions to keep aisles open. Nothing like having bought your ticket 6 weeks ago and have people walking on your feet like you weren't there.

Uncle Ted is a true patriotic chickenhawk.

As patriotic as Uncle Ted claims to be, he pulled a nasty stunt to evade Uncle Sam during the Vietnam War. In a July 15, 1990, Detroit Free Press interview, Nugent crowed about how he managed to dodge the draft. He claims that 30 days before his draft board physical, he disavowed personal hygiene. The last ten days he ingested nothing but junk food and Pepsi, and with a week to go until the physical, he stopped using the bathroom altogether. When the big day came, he had been living in excrement-caked and urine-stained pants. Always the hero, however, Nugent reassured the Free Press, “But if I would have gone over there, I’d have been killed, or I’d have killed all the Hippies in the foxholes. I would have killed everybody.”

That story has been floating around the internet for years. Supposedly the truth is, that thats the story Nugent made up to blow the mind of the reporter who asked.

Okay - went to the Rib Off today. It was so nice outside. But nothing beats being on the water. I can't believe they wanted 8 bucks to get in, but I guess that's only when bands are playing cause we didn't pay. BUT, it was 3 to park and each sampler was 8 bucks - thats a bit much. We had 3 beers and one sampler and called it a day. And whoever was on stage running the show with karaoke of all things was so annoying I can't even explain. LOL! I wish they kept it downtown as the EVENT it was.
