Even though it would be great to not have winter as we know it, you couldn't pay me to live in hurricane country.

The damage is measured in nominal dollars as opposed to real ones and it also stands to reason that back in the day when there were less overpriced homes and factories and people that damage would be less.

Doesn't anyone remember all the people who wouldn't leave the area when warned when Katrina hit? Then, they all just blamed Bush and the government.

Now, they all leave...and the storm wasn't as powerful as predicted. So, they'll blame Bush and the government for making them leave for nothing.

Either way...Ray Nagin is still a jack-ass...the citizens of New Orleans are typical libs who cry foul no matter what happens...and nobody takes personal responsibility for anything...and Bush will get blamed for the fallout.
