Was I dreaming or did anyone else hear the loudest crack of thunder around 1 am last night. It sounded like a bomb going off, woke me out of a dead sleep. I live on the eastside, just wondering....

blizzardbill here, yes I heard the same boom in Maumee. Checked our live doppler at 13ABC, had a small t-storm cell, nothing severe, but was a cool BOOM, CRASH, BANG.

Heard it, seen it, drove during it...LOL! Had my youngest at Flower ER last night for a foot injury and when we came out of the ER, sometime around 1, it was storming to beat all get outs! Nice lightning show for a few minutes!

I slept thru the storm. I was at a sleep study in St Charles. Got a good nice rest too.
I do love a good thunder storm. Scarier the better.

ditto for Holland. Heard the storm and it was wuuunderful! Thought I could hear the grass and trees slurping the rain.
