"Saturday Night Live" takes its topical comedy to primetime starting this Thursday, October 9 at 9:30 PM ET for three weeks of LIVE half-hours. "Saturday Night Live Weekend Update Thursday" will air October 9, 16 and 23 (in addition to two more Saturday episodes on October 18 & 25).

I watched SNL this weekend, and they did a spoof of the VP debate, and I thought they did a fair job of spoofing both candidates, not just the 'Palin' actress.
...and completely off subject, but did anyone catch the show and see the Lawrence Welk skit?? OMG!!
The show is the same as it always was to me....some skits work, others don't, some I don't know how they thought they were funny in the first place. I have no idea how this has stayed on the air so long...probably because they can't come up with any new ideas to replace it with. I've always found it boring, especially once the original cast was all gone.
