Many thanks for telling the press what so many of us are thinking-but that same press is going to try to trash you just like they do Gov. Palin. It's what the drive-by media does.
To Joe the Plumber

He has already trashed himself by saying he is a fan of Sarah Palin. I mean, say you are a Republican, say you are voting for McCain, but do not say you are a fan of Palin. One too many hours spent in sewer water I guess.
Fact Check: Plumber Joe's taxes
http://money.cnn.com/2008/10/15/smallbusiness/small_biz_taxes_factcheck.smb/index.htm
The bottom line: McCain's claim only works by using an overly broad definition of what counts as a "small business" - and even with that definition, fewer than 2% of business owners would be hit by Obama's proposed rate increase. For those who are affected, the increase would be levied only on a part of their earnings, not all of them.

Joe the Plumber? More like Joe the Keating Family Operative
http://crooksandliars.com/david-neiwert/joe-plumber-more-joe-keating-family-
I guess it's no wonder John McCain was so happy to use "Joe the Plumber" as a debate prop last night -- he's a partisan Republican who also happens to be a member of McCain's old friends, the Keating family.
I wonder what other construction trades have been infiltrated by the republican party operatives?

"Joe 6-pack" and "Joe the Plumber"

Apparently not a registered voter.
http://whoisplumberjoe.wordpress.com/
Also can't distinguish between revenue and cashflow, perfect for a small business owner.
Doesn't understand marginal tax rates. And willing to go on national TV to claim ignorance of a relatively easy concept.
Yet he's worried about a business he hasn't even bought.
Joe was a Plant.
And he was undecided between a McCain and a guy he calls a socialist? Is that what that video on the Blade was about. Doesn't that make him a closet socialist?
I am heartily laughing my arse off. Connected to the Keating family. Did he not think he would be investigated by the media - especially the uber-liberal Blade? No license or registration in Ohio - I bet Newell is loving that attention on one of their employees.

Apparently Joe only likes to pay his hospital bills when sued... BUT JUST SAY NO TO HIGHER TAXES!!!!!!!!!!!! Laughable
If Joe was a plant, then I'm a fucking monkey. Give me a break.
Fact of the matter is Obama dropped the "spread the wealth" line. Joe could be a hired actor, and it wouldn't matter, he caught Barack with his pants down.
I'm not a McCain fan in the slightest, but it's just amazing to see people vilify and attempt to destroy a guy who did nothing but illicit a poor response from "their guy".

Don't say say you don't want higher taxes when you don't pay your bills and have a tax lien placed against you. Pretty simple if you ask me.
How much does he owe? $1200.00? Sounds like a big time crook. Tomorrow it'll be parking tickets.

I wonder if he can produce a legitimate birth certificate.

If he's unable to pay his hospital bills now, he'd be shit out of luck if McCain won.
This is interesting.

Oh snap! Looks like he doesn't even pay his taxes now.

I have no idea if Joe the Plumber was/is a "PLANT", however I do have to wonder.....how would that work?
Obama came down HIS street, approached him in HIS yard, have I got that part right? If so, how could he then be a "PLANT"?

This entire media circus is almost as bad as the story about Palin's glasses.
I can't believe the guy was actually offered a trip to N.Y. for interview with Couric.
I'd much rather hear more on their ideas and plans.

nope - not a plant. merely a coincidence and maybe a ironic one at that.
"joe" clearly thought he would take the opportunity to "play" obama - lie to him about his circumstance - to essentially take a shot at obama. 13abc microphones picked up the exchange and broadcast it and mccain lifts the banner of "joe" without properly vetting him (mccain is showing a pattern of not vetting and being tempestuous). mccain has a zinger ready for the debate and was as eager as a young pup wetting the floor to hit obama with "joe the plumber" - BAM! Obama is taken aback a bit but recovers with the 98% of all small buisnesses would be exempt from additional taxes and tax would be on individual income and company profits. mccain ignores obama's response and, seemingly, all facts and logic and keeps up his "joe" routine. now joe is up the creek and the water is rising - rather than admit his ruse, joe blusters his way into American living rooms doing every show he can get his face on. but facts and circumstances are overwhelming and exposing him and he is ill prepared for it.
joe was exposed for his short-comings and deceit. he is in no way lined up to take over this company, doesn't make that kind of money, is not a plumber, is not legally allowed to do plumbing on any but his own personal property, and may well have gotten himself and/or his company in some trouble. except for the conservative base, he is a joke, a punch-line and perhaps a cautionary tale. undecided voters will take him as another example of mccain's bad judgement. joe is the long-term victim of unusual circumstances and mccain trying to throw mud.
the fact that joe would actually benefit far more under obama (large tax break, insurance coverage) underscores the biggest mystery - people voting against their self interest for the benefit of the rich and large corporations - just wave a flag and two stone tablets and joe will support any conservative cause.
mccain will probably meet with joe when he comes to town - like bush (and palin - troopergate), mccain is not the type to admit a mistake, but as an actual campaign talking point, "joe" is dead. obama will have an ad in the can on "joe" saying joe would be better off under obama as would the actual plumber and small business owners who make $250k - but obama will not have to use that ad because even mccain's advisor recognize this is a loser issue - best let it evaporate.

Precisely.
Hopefully the middle/working class doesn't get fooled again, but with the continual dumbing down of this country, one never knows. Joe should educate himself on the different plans.
"It is utterly bizarre that McCain chose this guy as the poster child, because this guy would get a tax cut under Obama, and wouldn't under McCain," says William Gale, co-director of the Tax Policy Center, which has analyzed both Obama's and McCain's tax plans....today's USA Today.
"How much does he owe? $1200.00? Sounds like a big time crook. Tomorrow it'll be parking tickets."
It's not a matter of whether he is or is not a felon. When a person complains about taxes and doesn't want others riding on his dime, then that person shouldn't be riding on the coattails of others as he has done by not paying his taxes.
Enjoyeverysandwich, that is a hall of fame worthy post. Well executed.

Why is it the press will look into Joe The Plumber's past but not Obama? The guy asked a question. If Obama had any class he would tell people to lay off. Carter move over - Here comes the Big O - you may lose your title as the worst Pres ever.

Wow - so even this mess can be blamed on Obama.
Desperadooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!
Libs blame everything from Hurricane Katrina to 9-11 on Bush, and won't take responsibility for Fannie Mae and Mac, which was clearly there screw up....get used to blaming who ever the pres is for everything. Turnabout is fair play.

Fannie, Freddie, and the subprime meltdown is a result of the "conservative" economic culture that has prevailed for the past 30 years, the "let's see how fast we can get this car if we take off the breaks" mentality.
9-11 is clearly no ones mistake, but the knee jerk reaction and the subsequent invasion of Iraq has failed the long term strategic interests in the Mideast and is directly responsible for the rising prominence of Iran.
As for Katrina, though the Bush administrations response was disgracefulness at best, it seems to point to a broader failing of government at all levels. Katrina, I my opinion is more significant than 9-11. 9-11 was a sucker-punch black-eye. The inability of the government to provide basic relief to disaster victims within it's own borders seems to indicate that we are a nation in decline.

A little research goes a long way
a little search and I found out out who sponsored (all Republicans) and passed the American Dream Downpayment Act that basically allowed adjustable rate mortgages and loan limits to be increased to families who basically could not afford a traditional fixed loan. Yup... I can see how this is Barack Obama and the democrats fault... totally...
