So you prove that you can cut and paste from the Drudge Report, Silly, but what do you think about what he said?

To say that this interview proves Obama is in favor of redistributing wealth is a strained interpretation. What I hear is Obama's skepticism about the focus of the civil rights movement on court battles and his idea that perhaps grassroots organization to push legislative agenda to advance their ideals would be more effective.

Pot, I'd like to introduce you to kettle...

If you're not in favor of "spreading the wealth around", you're an anarchist. Government doesn't exist without (1) taking some amount of money from citizens, and (2) spending it for the betterment of the population as a whole. Where do you think our roads and schools come from?

If you're "shocked", you just don't think.

I'm not shocked by anything anymore.

Roads and Schools aren't welfare, which is what BHO wants. He wants to take money from the rich white man, and give it to the poor black man. Plain and Simple. If you are for this vote for him, if you are against it don't. But, those are the facts, whether you can bring yourself to say it or not.

Is it hard to burn a cross during the winter time? Figured you could answer.

As I said, you can dance around it all you want, but that is the heart of this issue.

The heart of the issue is your racism... and we all get it.

posted by toledolen on Oct 27, 2008 at 01:22:43 pm     #

Whatever, I am a racist because I speak in a straight-forward fasion and get to the heart of the matter. See, you listened to the tape, but you didn't HEAR the tape. You only heard what you wanted to hear. I am not daming him either way, I am just stating fact. If you are for redistribution of wealth than vote BHO, if not don't. It's that simple

posted by ShonuffisDead on Oct 27, 2008 at 01:26:48 pm     #

Good thing you didn't "dam" him because "than" he wouldn't get elected. Thank you for your straight-forward "fasion" speech.

Maybe if you let me borrow your tinfoil hat then I could HEAR the tape? Do you just place the large white hat over your tinfoil hat when you go to a burnin', or must you remove it?

Great example-our roads are full of holes, and our public schools graduate students that rank 35th compared to students from other countries.

I do not know why distribution of wealth would be racially based. As far as I know when statistics are offered that the middle third (middle class) of wage earners make between $25 and $50,000 individually a year (without reference to color) it would seem that this class could benefit from the tax plan of Barack Obama.

Though I do not agree that just raising taxes on the top 5% of Americans (those individuals making $250,000 or more a year) would pay taxes without a deficit. Taxes would have to be raised or programs cut, or both. I do not imagine that defense would be cut. So it would have to be social programs. I imagine that Medicare, Social Security, and Medicaid would all take big hits. That's why I do not undertstand why Republicans make a big deal out of right to life? Would not it be easier if we just got rid of all those programs and let the old people die? There would be a redistribution of wealth (through the money they would will) and the only old people left would be the wealthy who could take care of their own health, and they would receive "platinum card" care from all the extra medical personnel we would have available to treat them.

It would also help the insurance companies bottom line because those who could afford it would go with private companies. The companies that did not have accurate forecasts would go bankrupt and we could even get rid of health care companies. We will have the perfect model where you saved for you own medical care.

Taxes are by definition a redistribution of wealth.

And letting businesses write their own regulations is as well.

So are wars.

And charity.

And bailouts.

And scholarships.

And letting private banks control the currency and interest rates.

And schooling.

Matt Drudge tried blowing up the story of the girl in Pittsburgh faking her own attack as real when red flags like a backwards "B" and her general sketchiness were present. Drudge is a 1 hit wonder trying to regain some steam.

What's Drudge's "1 hit wonder ?"

What's his claim to fame ?

Obama said "... The Supreme Court never entered into the issues of redistribution of wealth, and sort of more basic issues of political and economic justice in this society,"

hmmmm...I wonder why? Could it be because it's; oh I don't know...called SOCIALISM?

posted by KraZyKat on Oct 27, 2008 at 07:00:26 pm     #

So Krazy, you have never benefited from any government "socialism"?

I think everyone would be hard pressed to say that is true.

posted by Ryan on Oct 27, 2008 at 07:19:44 pm     #

Ok, we can stop calling it "redistribution or wealth" if you want, and call it what it really is... Reparations. That is what BHO wants, and if he is elected that is what he will put into place. It won't be called that, but that's what it is.

posted by ShonuffisDead on Oct 27, 2008 at 07:32:05 pm     #

You post something like that, yet continue to claim you are not a racist.

Are you a troll?

I know for a fact you don't make 250k, so how is it that you get to enjoy the benefits of these "reparations"?

posted by Ryan on Oct 27, 2008 at 07:51:16 pm     #

Using the term reparations makes me a troll, or a racist? OK. Once again, I simply state a fact, and I get attacked. You should back away from the cup...

posted by ShonuffisDead on Oct 27, 2008 at 08:07:00 pm     #

And you should step away from the worn out catch phrases. Trolls love to incite boards, your claim that Obama wants to use tax monies for "reparations" is a very racist thing to say. Not sure what part you don't understand?

You state no facts - you state your small minded really kickerbilly opinion. I don't even think wabbit would back you on that one.

So Krazy, you have never benefited from any government "socialism"?

Let me think...

Never collected Food Stamps
Never collected Welfare
Paid for schooling out of my own pocket
Never been on unemployment in my 30+ years in the workforce (note: not to be confused with with never being unemployed)
Always paid my taxes...No EIC here!
Never collected Medicaid
Coventional Home Loan on a 30 year fixed interest
No bus passes

Nope, can't think of any government "socialism" I have benefited profited from. I've always paid for everything I have through my own blood, sweat and tears.
But then again, even though my parents were not wealthy; I was raised with the work ethics that made this country strong. You "make money the old fashion way...you earn it".

OH wait...I did attend public school so I guess that can be considered "socialism". My Bad!

posted by KraZyKat on Oct 27, 2008 at 09:48:56 pm     #

Well, once you get a clue and realize that the government affords you far more than your public schools you may be able to answer appropriately.

Think: things you use (and obviously take for granted) everyday.

But it is interesting where your mind goes when posed with that question. Interesting and telling.

Amazing. So you don't drive on public roads? How did you get a Jetson mobile before all others?

posted by UM on Oct 27, 2008 at 11:38:21 pm     #

It amazes me how the Obama supporters were defending him claiming that all this Socialist talk was not relevant or untrue. Now that they can no longer defend that stance they try to rationalize socialism.

posted by KraZyKat on Oct 27, 2008 at 11:47:06 pm     #

But the detractors can't rationalize away from it, so I guess you're both in a sinking boat.
