What? How did this slip out? I thought criticism of The One was forbidden. Cox better watch himself lest Obama's allies in various social service office, law enforcement, or African governments take an interest in him.

That said, is this really a surprise? I mean, I know a few people who plan on voting for Him, and even all of them know Obama's lying through his teeth on guns. He's from Chicago for Pete's sake. In terms of dastardly deeds, owning a gun is second only to eating babies and kicking puppies there.

There are a lot of issues to consider when voting. If the right to own a gun is an important one to you then Obama probably isn't your guy. If you think guns belong in the hands of cops and soldiers only, then Obama likely is perfect for you.

You read that Reverend Moon drivel? Well, I am pro-gun ownership and I voted for Obama... because he IS my guy and I think background checks, etc. aren't bad ideas.

People don't really still "one issue vote" do they?

Sad.

I'm a gun owner, I'm pro-freedom. I'm not likely to vote for The One.

Are you going to continue calling Senator Obama after he wins the election? Because it's getting old.

Paranoid gun conspiracy theorists. No one is going to take your pansy ass toys. Lighten up.

Keep your guns where your head usually is and you'll be fine.

Look Charlatan, The One is anti-gun. He's the poster child for the Brady Bunch, the biggest anti-freedom group in the US. Being anti-gun means that The One doesn't trust the common civilian to manage their own life. The One knows what's best for you. Now if you want to sit back, relax and take orders, fine. I don't. Which is why I'm not going to vote for The One.

No Toledoen I will not call him The One once He is elected. I'm not stupid, no one is to cross Him. Hell you if you dare step into the realm of independent journalism you are forbidden from covering Him. If you ask Him a question he doesn't like, you will be investigated. If you travel abroad and criticize Him, you will be arrested by His thug friends. It doesn't matter who you are. You could be the most powerful friend African Americans has had in politics, when He is done with you you'll be nothing more than a racist hater. You do not cross Him.

Obama is being no more honest about his stance on the Second Amendment than any other of his positions. He admittedly believes the government is better equipt and better suited to make decisions for citizens, including the right to defend ones self against an oppressive government, how to spend your money, and who gets liver transplants when the government decides one is necessary.

The election itself may be the best argument for the right to bear arms. An Obama loss will result in voilence and protest in the streets, a close election - disputed - will result in voilence and protest in the streets - and an Obama win will result in a giant jump toward socialism, government control of liberty. The need for a "well regulated militia" meaning citizen soldiers - will become readily apparent. Im voting Tuesday, and arming myself soon after.

So there's no other weapons/deterrents besides guns?

I know they accessorize the insecure/paranoid/weak man well, but what's wrong with a purse with bricks in it or a nice fanny pack.... lulz

Well Charly - if we could flash back to before the Chinese invented gun powder, a brick in a purse might do it. Of course you would have to delay the bronze age as well - so law abiding purse carrying citizens would not be caught with a brick in a knife fight.

And, best of all, criminals know who and how to vitimize the unarmed. In concealed carry states and cities at least they must measure their prey, and risk a bad choice. In a strickly regulated - no-gun area - for example until recently D.C., and currently Chicago and every Universtiy campus - they know any law abiding appearing citizen, especially female - WILL NOT BE ARMED - and this us a nice juicey steak on a plate waiting to be devoured.

In history there are always two steps taken by a tyrannical govt., usually before anyone notices. Disarm the populous and control the media. Lets see -- hasn't Obama recently kicked three newspapers who support McCain off his plane? And, haven;t two reporters recently been attacked and villafied for asking tough questions of Biden and Obama?

Lets not forget Joe the plummer - attack the citizen who questions his highness -- forget the king's answer.

Guys you are just wasting your breath trying to explain things to the rabid anti-gun crowd. They would rather live with their heads in the sand than realize what is really happening in today's society. They also make the mistake that it could never happen to them because the police will always be there for them cause that is their job. If they wanna take the chance of becoming a victim more power to them, but I personally don't wanna take that chance. And no matter what they say Obama is the king of anti-gun thinking.
