As many of you know, I've been blogging in NW Ohio for many years (since mid-2002).
My most recent blog-based project is a 4 episode video series that chronicles a 1000 mile motorcycle trip through NW Ohio and Lower Michigan.
Day 3 is my favorite. If you don't watch any others, at least watch Day 3.
It took quite a bit of time to edit, but I'm proud of it.
Check it out, and let me know what you think!

That looks like it was a lot of fun. I am a female rider and have been thinking about doing something like this. Where did you get your info (ideas) for which roads to take? Did you buy a motorcycle trip map of some kind? Also, did you run into any problems or suggestions that would be helpful to pass along.
We got a book called "Motorcycling Across Michigan" by William Murphy and looked through the routes.
When we decided on the West Coast of Michigan, we contacted all of the Visitors Bureaus along the route.
My biggest suggestion is if it looks like it might rain, gear up. There's nothing worse than gearing up after you're already soaked.
Oh, and don't forget to look around and enjoy the views.
What a hoot!
I've been cross-country six times on motorcycles. When it rains you do get wet! One time in the Utah dessert on a hot afternoon it began to storm. I said screw my foul weather gear and helmet and rode with reckless abandon right trough it with my feet out to the sides like a kid on a bicycle! The rain got a little prickly but it felt sooo refreshing. Probably a dumb move but this "ain't no dress rehearsal"!
