Can we get rid of our old trash bins yet?

Garbage truck came yesterday to my house and took an old console tv and couch I had in my garage.....awesome! wife said the truck crunched up the couch pretty good, but the tv stopped the compactor dead in it's tracks!
The problem is, the more decent paying jobs that are lost in the city also means less tax revenue.
Can the city survive with a majority of it's citizens working minimum wage jobs?
When the best paying jobs are paid for with taxs does it make sense to increase their wages?

People need to learn - wheel your bin to the street, or you don't get trash picked up. It is that easy. Also limit to 2 per household and only do oversized or unlimited pick up twice a year. None of this every week with people putting large items at the curb.

I just want to know how the city is saving money. They spent money for the new trash containers, with the intent that one person and a truck was all that would be needed, but in my neighborhood we have a truck with a driver and two guys picking up the trash, they wheel the new containers over to a small metal piece at the back of the truck that catches the bar on the container and flips it up and empties it , then they wheel the trash bin back to near where it was. AT least the recycle truck is only one guy and he uses an extended arm to grab the container and empty it.
