I am currently unemployed, but expect to start a new business some time in the next 3 to 7 months. In the mean time, I need to find a decent temporary situation. Does anyone have any suggestions beyond the local retail establishments? (I have considered substitute teaching, but I don't think I have the temperament for it.)
What about temp agencies? Are they worth looking into for a short-term situation?
Thanks!
My company uses Renhill and we have always been pleased. I know a few of their staff and they are on the ball.
My company uses Spherion, as does my wife's company. Two of the larger companies in town.
Supplemental Staffing is a locally owned family business...I've worked on projects with the owner and would recommend them for consideration.
The key is to find one that has a good reputation in the areas you're interested in. Some specialize in manufacturing - others in office...make sure you ask when reviewing them.
And Good Luck!
I used to work for Spherion a long time ago and i was pleased with them, i even was givin two weeks notice when i was laid off and they were always real good about finding something for me.
