Does anyone know anything about the house on Alexis Road between Talmadge and Secor. It is on the north side across from that little shopping center. It's the really tall house with all windows facing Alexis Road (south side). I know that it seems built to utilize the south sun for warmth, but does anyone know if it works?
Keep an eye out for it. You can't miss it once you notice it.

been by it for years. if you get a chance to look at it closely, it looks kind of in ill repair. I think it's rental property now.
I did notice that it looks like it needs major repair and some window cleaning. I just wonder what it's history/design idea is. I also wonder if the design was met with acceptance by building inspector. I don't want to be around it if we get tornado like winds.
I looked it up on google streetview:

It is listed as 3518 W Alexis on AREIS Online. I grew up on the 3800 block of W Alexis from 1953 to August 1964. The house was built in 1892 according to AREIS, but I don't remember all the glass on the front side of the building. So I imagine it was an addon after 1964. I did not find any info about this being "New Construction" on the AREIS Online data.

The guy who owns it is an engineer who is very into energy saving.
Is he into maintaining the house at all? Because it looks terrible.
