I see there was a robust turnout for a recent job fair.
Not too long ago, a robocall directed me towards www.ohiomeansjobs.com, where I found listings for something like 350 area jobs. Some of the jobs were for well-known places like First Solar; other jobs seemed like they weren't real opportunities. There's a timestamp feature, so you can tell which job listings are new; if you scroll back farther into the list (say, 6 days ago) many of the jobs begin to repeat. Has anyone else taken a look at this resource? What do you think?
Part Two: every senior citizen I know has advised me to get a job with the Census; some have even taken the civil service exam for supervisory level (online test?). I think the census is doing a GREAT job marketing these opportunities to seniors! Has anyone looked into this? Are they still hiring for the Toledo metro area?
