Ladies - What do you like smellin?

Im down to my last 1/8" of cologne in the bottle, and I'm trying to decide whether to replace it with the same thing, or step out with something new? (Im going to hold off on naming what Im currently using till later to see which way some opinions go...)

And not necessarily ladies opinions only - if you gent's out there have a brand you like to wear to the office and your spouse seems to like it, lets hear about it...

BTW, I'm 48 yrs old, so that stuff that comes in the aerosol cans and you hose yourself down with it (axe, tag, Adidas has one, I think I saw in the grocery store today...) is about 3 decades past my time!

How about just taking a shower daily.

whatever you choose, please wear it sparingly. Nothing is worse that smelling you about 5 minutes before you arrive and that goes for women too.

I like Old Spice or Stetson. But if your ever at the barbers try a little Clubmen.. that smells so good.

Please at all cost avoid Axe body spray!<choke-cough-gag>

Thanks folks - TL, the 'net says they sell Clubman at Walgreens very inexpensively, so I'll grab a bottle.

Holland, Ive heard of Diamonds before to and it looks like I can get a free sample from this site - http://www.mysavings.com/coupons-printable-grocery-codes-online-free/Emporio-Armani-Diamonds-for-Men-Fragrance/6598/, so I'll probably go that route before I buy, as it's kinda pricey.

Dont get me wrong, Im not averse to spending some bucks for a decent cologne, the one that Im running out of is Hugo, which also up there.

Paco Rabanne, Drakkar Noir, Grey Flannel, Pierre Cardin or Paul Sebastian. Caroline Herrera for Men is also a good choice.

All these are the ones I buy for hubby, kind of on a rotation so he has at least two to choose from at any given time.

I used to wear Gray Flannel during the winter and it paid off for me one night at the club.

Totally in with DoknowDocare and madjack on the Gray Flannel! I convinced my hubby to buy some many years ago and it's still his (MY) favorite all these years later! The funny thing is, it's so unique that when I catch it's scent in public, I immediately smile...LOL!

I have a gentleman that comes in to where I work once every few weeks or so, and I always know it's him. He thought it was neat the first time I waited on him and I told him I knew the name of his cologne because it's not one of those well known ones. As a matter of fact, it's very difficult to find these days! But it has such a nice, subtle scent to it and I think it smells very "sophisticated", for lack of a better term.

Devin by Aramis.

Have been wearing it since the early 80's, so it's been around awhile. Getting harder and harder to find. Very clean, fresh, light and the ladies love it. My only lady now is my wife of 20 years and she still loves it when I wear it.

Fragrance Description:
Devin Cologne by Aramis, Devin by the design house of aramis is a timeless classic, first introduced in 1978. Top notes are bergamot, galbanum, artemisia, lemon. The middle notes are: jasmin, carnation, pine, thyme, cinnamon. Finishing off with the base notes leather, olibanum, cedarwood, amber, musk, moss, patchouli, and labdanum

I bought my hubby Really Ripped Abs by Bodman once for Christmas as a joke. He doesn't have six pack abs -- more like a kegger.

I have not worn Aftershave or cologne since my Disco Day's. Geez....maybe that explains why I'm still single!

posted by KraZyKat on Jun 08, 2009 at 12:49:27 pm     #

Ooops...sorry about the capitalization of the word aftershave use of apostrophes in the wrong place. All that after just reading jr's thread on bad grammar. Yikes! I am in for it now!

Awesome! It was way before it's time. That stuff worked better than any tag or axe body spray does today.

On a tight budget? Try placing a slice of bologna under each arm. You'll get the looks from the ladies! (Works best in August).
