The City Council Circus Continues

This is one of those few times when I find myself agreeing with the Blade; Toledo council's move to pick Ashford was 'inappropriate' and a complete joke.

How do these "clowns" expect businesss to see Toledo as a safe place to invest their time, money and labor when the people who are charged with upholding the law/City Charter have a blatant disregard for it?

Charter...laws...Robert's Rules of Order even...that's for suckers, Toledo's elected officials make it up as they go along or when it is convenient for them.

Let the madness, decline and circus continue, if it weren’t so tragic it would be funny!

Hilarious.

Yes, I think this is exactly why PhotoShop was invented. Nice job, mholdri, for explaining the city government situation so simply. A picture is worth a thousand words. This is how the Blade op-ed section should function. Forget the editorial cartoons and the 200+ word opinion pieces. We want to see skilled PhotoShop editorialists.

I have certainly called these political clowns "clowns" in the past, but I wonder if this is an insult to real clowns? I'm thinking a truckload of real circus clowns would do a better job of governing the city and county. Emmett Kelly obviously has the enthusiasm to turn Toledo around.

August 1 was the start of National Clown Week. For Toledo, it was the start of clown month.
