Ludeman crawls back out of the woodwork

You know, the liberal democrat with the "R" behind his name? The one who was finally term-limited out of office? Pulling a Carty.

Former District 2 Councilman Rob Ludeman told Toledo Free Press on June 11 that he is seeking an at-large seat on Toledo City Council. He plans to take out petitions June 12.

The theme will be “Bring Back Common Sense to Toledo City Council,” the Republican said.

“This timing has nothing to do with Mark Sobczak’s decision to resign, which surprised me this morning,” Ludeman stated in a message to Toledo Free Press.

Ludeman went on to say during a phone interview that he is running at-large because he would have had to wait two more years to run for a district seat.

“I was term-limited out,” he said. “I had to leave by city charter. I think council has had a void in leadership.”

'Tis the season for retreads.

I'm anxiously waiting for Ford, Escobar, and McCloskey to announce their run for something.

FYI, I know Rob personally. I am a liberal Democrat. I can assure you he is not.

Speaking of retreads crawling out of the woodwork (or roofing material in this case), maybe Czarty's friend and Ben Konop's aunt Sandy Isenberg will jump back into the political fray. That will liven things up a bit more.

Yeah, well, I used to know him, and a social conservative I can assure you he is not. Big Government lover and against personal responsibility. Don't worry, the worthless prick will get in again, though, strictly due to voter stupidity and name recognition, but he'll do it without my vote. The RHINO who ran for mayor , but decided not to bother campaigning.

How about starting a petition to redo the City Charter to make them lifetime term limits...not "hey i can come back in 4 years".

Does the "slow real estate market" have anything to do with his decision ?
