What: Utility Bill Assistance Fair

When: Thursday, June 18, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Where: Erie Street Market, 237 South Erie Street

How: As many across Northwest struggle to make ends meet, the Northwest Ohio based Joint Utility and Social Services Committee (JUSSC) presents a Utility Bill Assistance Fair. This program is free and open to the public. Organizations scheduled to take part in the Utility Bill Assistance Fair include:

ABLE/Legal Aid of Western Ohio, Inc.
AIDS Resource Center Ohio
Area Office on Aging of Northwest Ohio, Inc.
Board of Community Relations
Catholic Charities
City of Toledo
Columbia Gas of Ohio
EOPA
Fair Housing Center
Lucas County Child Support Enforcement Agency
Lucas County Children Services
Lucas County Jobs and Family Services
Lucas Metropolitan Housing Association
Maumee Valley Habitat for Humanity
Neighborhood Health Association
Neighborhood Housing Services of Toledo
Office of the Ohio Consumers Council
Ohio Benefit Bank
Reentry Coalition of Northwest Ohio
Salvation Army
Society of St. Vincent de Paul
The Community Partnership
The Source
Toledo Edison
United Way 211

Each organization will have a representative available for one-on-one discussions. In addition, there will be formal presentations by several of the participating groups.

A free hot lunch for children 18 and under will be provided by Feed Lucas County Children, Inc. from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.. There will also be raffles for free food boxes and free rent assistance.

they thought they could show up and get their bills paid for them, and when they just found out they were only going to be given the names of organizations that can provide help they got pissed

When is the next one? I'm retired now, and would like the chance to see another hilarious show like this, specially since I wouldn't have to pay to get in.
