this makes me wonder.....how many more politicians throughout time would have sent incriminating and demonizing emails if we had just thought of the internet sooner........she is only relinquishing now because she knows if she wants to run in 2012 she has got to get out of the limelight now so people will forgot all of the MORONIC things she consistently does. At least we can say she is one politician who sticks to her politics: deceit, deception, and denial.

Oh no, Wulf... I, along with tons of "liarcrats" would LOVE to see her run in 2012. Trust me.

I will be voting republican in 2012.....but I am not dumb enough to vote for a mal-informed, under performing, overtly inexperienced folly such as Sarah Palin. She brings the party to its lows and highlights the need for conservative reform......she is right.....she does represent what the party stands for....the party in the 2000s. We need a republican who embodies the midline of the party; someone who will hold tradition in esteem, and shatter lines to bridge the everflowing gap between dems and repubs. She holds in esteem hypocrisy (supporting her teen daughter be an abstinence spokeswomen, post-pregnancy), mud-slinging (throwing blows with McCain's people when they should be shouldering equal burden), total foreign relations inexperience (hence the snub when she travels abroad), and a lack of self ethics that cause her to crawl in the snake pits with those she opposes in Washington. I have not always been this pro-republican. I have ALWAYS been pro-candidate; meaning I take the time to educate myself on the candidates before I cast my almighty important vote. I have educates myself on the rants and raves of one Miss Palin for the past year, and also comparatively studied the guise of our current commander in chief. If one thing is for sure after all of this potent knowledge has saturated my politico, it is that in 2012 we need to do like we are about to do here in Toledo, bring in the fresh meat, fresh ideas, and trim the fat!

posted by got2bfit on Jul 03, 2009 at 04:08:25 pm     #

Like hell we need that. We had a middle of the road-modern republican-who stood for nothing, tried to out-democrat the democrats, and was as fiscally irresponsible as the Bammster. Watch and behold as the largest voting block in the country, the Conservatives, become more galvanized than they were during the Reagan Administration.

posted by Wulf on Jul 03, 2009 at 04:16:14 pm     #

How cna you say you will be voting for a Republican in 2012 without knowing who it is? THAT is what's wrong with the process.

posted by Ryan on Jul 03, 2009 at 04:30:55 pm     #

I can say it based on who's in there now. Plus the fact that unless McPain runs, I'll vote a straight party ticket.

I was including sarcasm in my suggestion that I will be voting republican in 2012. Further into my convo, I included the ultimate fact that I will be voting for the best possible candidate, regardless of party lines. I will not be voting straight ticket, and Wulf we do need someone who is not gung-ho conservative......the dems got themselves a gung-ho dem in Obama and look what is happening now....

Yea, he has just trashed the place in 5 months because that's possible. Not.

I think we do need a gung-ho conservative, and I certainly won't vote for a democrat wannabe like McCain. IMHO a real conservative is the only type of candidate I would ever vote for. I'm through with republicans.

posted by Wulf on Jul 03, 2009 at 05:28:04 pm     #

And wait till the trashing is complete, 5 months isn't enough time-even for one who can walk on water.

Your use of terms like that only show your ignorance. Sad that your vote is such a waste with no thinking behind it except "anyone but HIM!". See ya in 4!

The hate that dems have for Palin has always fascinated me.

6 mo after Bush was in office how much press did Edwards get?

Seems to me nobody on either party really gave a shit about him one way or another.

Why are so-called "liberals" such a hate filled group? Amazing! The more open minded a person claims to be-the more close minded they are. Maybe they hate themselves?

"Many political observers in Alaska are fixated on rumors that federal investigators have been seizing paperwork from SBS in recent months, searching for evidence that Palin and her husband Todd steered lucrative contracts to the well-connected company in exchange for gifts like the construction of their home on pristine Lake Lucille in 2002. The home was built just two months before Palin began campaigning for governor, a job which would have provided her enhanced power to grant building contracts in the wide open state."

Tina Fey in 2012. If the terminator can be governor, why not make the long time SNL creator and producer the president.....the White House for the most part is a long standing SNL skit waiting to be played out!

-------------------------------------

Yeah...we need democRAT Lite. We need a guy that's going to get the nomination because it's HIS TURN. Somebody the media loves, saying he reaches out across the aisle (translation: RHINO)...hey....wait....we tried that this time-how'd that work out, anyway? Had Palin not been on the ticket, he'd have lost in a landslide. She was the ONLY reason he got my vote. Notice how hollywood, the media, letterman/leno, etc;LOVED John McPain....UNTIL HE GOT THE NOMINATION. They then turned on him like rabid rats, as he became the anti-Christ due to that 'R' behind his name. No, thanks-I'm ready for third party. No more liberals with an 'R' like Fuckabee and Myth Romney and McCain.

I think Palin is finished in politics. You don't quit in the middle of your first term for the hell of it. She violated her constituents' trust. The only way she could explain this is if her children are having problems and she decided to chuck it because her family comes first. That is considered noble. There is something definitely missing from this story. I'm sure we'll find out soon.

I'm surprised to hear the Rs on here talk about voting for a "true conservative." What exactly is that, anyhow?

I used to think that a "conservative" was one who held to traditional values, such as moderate spending, a strong military, and stronger families.

Well, we had crazy, out of control spending under Bush, so I guess he wasn't a true conservative. A strong military? When you send soldiers off to a war for which you are unprepared and is illegal to boot, and then don't even furnish them with the basics (like body armor and bottles of water) that hardly supports the military. And as for stronger families, I think that Gov. Sanford (and Newt Gingrich and John McCain and hell, even Ronnie Reagan) have shown us how much regard they have for the sanctity of marriage and families in general.

So please, educate me as to what a conservative actually stands for, because I haven't seen one who espouses "true conservative" principles in a long, long time.

(And spare me the rant about Clinton's cheating on his wife. He never set himself up as holier-than-thou. The farther you put yourself up on that pedestal, friends, the farther you have to fall.)

As to Clinton: It's the perjury, stupid.

As to 'conservative', what that means to me is the government leaving me alone as much as possible. I don't care about their sex shit.
