LOS ANGELES (AP) - Los Angeles spent $1.4 million to provide security, traffic control and other services for Michael Jackson's memorial service, city officials said as they looked for ways to have others help the financially troubled city pick up the bill.
Dang, that's a whole lotta money for a near-bankrupt city/state to spend on a tribute to a pedophile.
I knew it would not be long before someone pulled the old pedophile out of Michael's closet. But seriously, this early in the game?!?!?.....don't get me wrong....I think the King of Pop had plenty of skeletons in his closet(no pun intended about the way he looks). But on the other hand I think that you have a point.....there is no need to spend $1.4 million on a memorial for someone that was already $500 million in debt himself. I understand that his estate is worth well more than his debt, after being liquidated. And if this is such the case, then some of that asset money should be used to memorialize him, as he was a man that wanted to help communities and countries around the world, and I am sure that he would've supported his money being used and not tax payers!
