This morning I drove in to work, and at 8:46 there was a moment of silence on the radio followed by a song.
What happened was horrible, so many innocent people died it makes my heart ache. Though as I listened to this song, I dont want that to be what makes me think of the people.
Rather than singer X making a new 911 song playing on the hearts of people, I'd rather the radio tell me how much money was raised to help support the people's families, how brave so many people were who went in to selflessly save another.
Six years ago in some respects wasn't the worse day in American history. It was horrible, but at the same time it is a shining example of who we are as American's. Just like the bombing of Pearl Harbor we banded together. We sat aside our differences at the drop of a hat and became a union, because deep inside past the social status, money, race, or whatever we are citizens of this great country.
God Bless America and God Bless everyone on this planet, may we all live in peace.
