I have to go to Fort Wayne in a couple of days and I was wondering if from Defiance to Fort Wayne is four lanes or two? I hate route 24 from Waterville to Napoleon. Scares the crap out of me.
Route 24

Dont know about 4 or 2 lanes, but if you're in no hurry, between H2Oville and Napoleon, there's also the road on the South side of the river. Very scenic route, and the tractor trailer rigs dont use it.
The road less traveled and all that... Then once you get to Napoleon, just follow the signs back to 24 and on...
no, once you get to Napoleon, you get on 424 and take THAT to Defiance, then you stay on that and meet up with 24 again and go to Fort Wayne.
Beautiful, especially on a warm fall afternoon.
MOlsonator, it's not 4 lanes all the way, it's only 4 lanes around Napoleon and Defiance and when it gets closer to FW. In between, it's 2 lanes. That's what they going to fix by building the new one.
I cannot wait to take that ride.
try this one for that awesome ride down 424.
sowwy.
Thanks. I will take the Turnpike to 69 I guess.

awwww, shame, but yer apparently going for business, not pleasure, so save it for next time. :)
424 is a great road nana, I love riding along the old canal. I love anything historical.
Drove it 4th of July weekend... It's 2 lanes to Napoleon and then 4 lines all the way through until you get to west site of Defiance, then goes back to 2 lanes. The Section between the towns, which used to be 2 lanes, is now 4 lanes with a 65 mph speed limit.
