This type of thing always scares me. A cop breaking the law repeatedly and posing a danger to society, but little happens. In this case, his mother is the mayor. Sounds like there was a coverup. This cop should be fired. If you're a cop and you break the law, you should be gone. Officers are held to a higher standard. Yet why is this guy just getting suspended for 20 days?

I don't remember the details but IIRC didn't this guy get in trouble a few years ago and mommy saved his but then too?
Maybe Oregon just wants to be more like Crooked Town. Opps, I mean Toledo. If this scared you dogsrule imagine the things that are'nt printed, the things you don't kbow about.
Cops already have a lot of power and are capable of abusing it. But to have cover to do what you want because your mom is your boss is frightening.
Totally agree with you dogsrule. Makes you wonder what else this cop has gotten away with in the past.

When Tom Gulch was Chief of Police in Oregon, he conducted an investigation into Jeff Brown - about a sexual harrassment charge or something, but "somehow", that investigation & all paperwork connected to it, has gotten "lost". Go figure. OF COURSE his mom Marge Brown is covering up for her son.
Mayor Marge Brown 'got rid' of Police Chief Tom Gulch for 'personal reasons" (I know this to be a fact - I know those involved.) Her reason was that she wanted her son to be in line to be Chief, but he wasn't next in line, so she appointed his close friend as Chief, knowing this man was planning to retire in a couple of years anyway, thereby, putting her son Jeff Brown 'next up' in line for Chief. Or something like that. I'm fuzzy on the details, but that's the gist of it if I recall. Mayor Marge Brown demanded that Tom Gulch sign papers that he swore he would not discuss any of this to anybody or lose his health care (I don't think he gets a pension from Oregon). Kind of a gag order. Gulch couldn't risk losing his health care, so he kept his mouth shut.
Jeff Brown & his mother the mayor are dispicable people. These are just a couple of incidences that people know about - believe me, there's so much dirt on both of them it's disqusting they hold positions of power.
