Hey, I know this event is not until next week, but I thought it'd be good to post.

On Tuesday, November 10th, the BeInstrumental Foundation, a Toledo-based non-profit organization, will be holding a musical instrument drive and scholarship fundraiser from 6:30pm to 10:00pm at Manhattan’s Restaurant located at 1516 Adams Street in Downtown Toledo.

Local and renowned jazz guitarist, Damen Cook, will headline the event, providing for an evening of great music, gourmet food and wine courtesy of Manhattan’s Restaurant and Uptown Vineyard. Tickets to the event are $25. Proceeds raised during the event will support the BeInstrumental Music Makes a Difference scholarship fund.

The public may drop off new or used musical instruments at Manhattan’s Restaurant, beginning at 5:00 p.m. BeInstrumental is accepting all types of musical instruments – particularly high-school band instruments – such as clarinets, saxophones, trumpets, flutes, and other wind and percussion instruments. Instruments collected will be refurbished and offered free of charge to local inner-city schools and community organizations for use in their musical education programs.

The BeInstrumental Foundation provides financial and educational resources to local music students and musical education programs throughout Northwest Ohio. “The scholarships and resources provided by BeInstrumental are essential in allowing inner-city children, and those without the resources, the opportunity to continue their musical dreams,” said Jeff Green, Director of the BeInstrumental Foundation.

For more information, or to RSVP online, please contact Jeff Green at 567-343-2274 or at green@beinstrumental.org or visit www.beinstrumental.org.

About BeInstrumental: BeInstrumental Foundation, an Ohio not-for-profit corporation, provides resources to artists, musicians and organizations that support musical education. Resources range from scholarships, grants and tuition for music lessons and camps, to providing students with musical instruments and mentorship. BeInstrumental exists to harness the power of music to provide resources to aspiring artists.
