Crusade of Love for all of mankind

anyone familiar with or know the well-being of Carl Summer?

Belvedere with "We do good work!"?

I found Patches from Patches and Pockets. Pockets could use a prayer. Patches is doing fantastic in Tennessee.

Bunch of us Toledoans sitting around talking when I used the "Crazy Eddie" voice from the Car Stereo One commercial when the reflections began and Carl Summer popped into my head.

I can still do that voice too. lol

Wasn't it "Carlos Summer"? As I recall, he lived in a house near the zoo and passed some time ago... I wonder what happened to Mr. T

Carlos Summer was a cult leader in Toledo. He would profess the power of positive thinking and if it feels good just do it.He performed brainwashing on his followers. He got them to believe just about anything.I knew of a few followers of his teachings and is was scary how he was able to twist the minds of these people. Also,I heard that he was a magician.

What was he trying to get people to do, Buckeye?

His mission was to move the world to love.

"What was he trying to get people to do, Buckeye?"

The main thing he got the people to do was give him money.Carlos would tell his followers that if they had any problems he could make them go away. All you had to do was give him a call and he would solve all your problems. He did it through mind control by making the people believe their problem was solved even though it wasn't.Then he would ask for some money for his services.I knew of one person that called him because they had termites. All Carlos did was tell them over the phone that the termites were gone.Even after a exterminator stated that the termites were still there that person said that if Carlos says they are gone they are gone. This was even after they were shown evidence that the termites were still there.Scary stuff!

What about "The Ghoul" out of detroit. We could barely pick it up on our TV. FROGGY!

How odd that you bring up that subject... some of us were just talking about that... The Ghoul, Sir Graves Ghastley and other movie hosts... remember Bill Kennedy on channel 50 at 3pm in the afternoon... smoking a cigarette and telling Hollywood stories

Bill Kennedy was the best. That sure brings back some fond memories.

Hi Brian !

Wow, buddy - these are some real blasts from the past !

Glad to see that you are still kickin' it, and all appears well.
Appearances can be deceiving.

I was reading your post from 2007 - keep up the good work !

Remember "Shock Theater" on Channel 7 (before cable) out of Detroit. A skull would dissolve into the host's face. Lighting made his face appear one with the skull. He was on 1950's to 1960's. When relatives used to come visit and stayed overnight I was allowed to stay up, and they would let me see "Shock Theater" on Saturday nights. Mostly "horror" and sci-fi films.
