Lost dog

Not only does this poor guy get his house broken into, but his dog is now missing as a result. Suspects caught, but no dog. I can't imagine any dog or cat out in this weather that's used to being inside the house.

Oh man, that stinks.

Its bad enough to have your house broken into, but to have to worry about your family pet being out and lost in this kind of weather on top of that?

I'd be a wreck worrying about my poor dog if he were stuck out there somewhere in this weather!

Hopefully some good samaritan gave the dog shelter for the evening, and the man will be reunited with his pooch shortly!

Poor pooch :( hopefully someone in the neighborhood sees him and takes him in till they can find the owner. Would make me sick thinking my little guy was outside. He barely likes to go out for the bathroom when it drops to the teens or lower.

both our dogs are runners. the other day some kid cut thru our backyard and left the gate open. thank God I caught it before the dogs got out. WTF is the matter with people?

I heard from a friend of the people whose home was broken into that the dog returned shortly after the break in.

That is cool. I wonder if WTOL did a followup story?

FYI - A purebred female Weimaraner named Gretta accidentally got loose from a Vets office on Holloway Rd near Airport Hwy. Vet staff and the owners have been searching frantically since 11:00 this morning. The dog has been spotted several times and is so panicked the family has been unable to get it. Unfortunatley it's running the railroad tracks in the vicinity of the awful fatal train - pedestrian accident yesterday and searchers are reluctant to go running up and down that stretch of tracks out of respect and sympathy for the school kids and the families. So, if you see a grey Weimaraner in the Holland Area please call the Holland Police. They are aware of the situation. It's dragging a leash.

Oh, that's terrible. I hope they find her!

The dog showed up at 5:00 AM today less than 100 ft. away from the front door of the Vets office, no worse for the wear. At times there were over a dozen folks trying to corral her yesterday. Just goes to show you, don't give up.
