Need to pick some up this weekend and not sure where to go. (please don't say KFC or Popeyes) Any great places that carry out?

Still a chain but I like Church's Chicken, there's one on the anthony wayne trail going toward the zoo.

Maggie's Restaurant in Perrysburg makes really good fried chicken. the restaurant is on the corner of Roachton and Rt. 25 past Levis Commons. In the summer when driving you can smell the fired chicken. For a big party I would go with County Catering in Northwood. They know what they're doing.
Anyone remember the Glendale Inn? They used to have the best, crunchiest fried chicken ever!

Do you mean the bar that was the Glendale Inn??? If it's the one that I'm remembering, I didn't even know that they served food, let alone chicken...
Does just over the border count? Zeiller's market on Lewis Ave in Temperance has a broaster from the '50's that still turns out the best broasted chicken around!
I'll second Billy's recommendation of Zeiler's Market...they've got the absolute best and their customer service is terrific. If you're looking for a larger order, though, give them a call ahead of time.
We got two huge orders for a party and everyone raved about how it was the best fried chicken they ever tasted...delicious but not greasy!

I agree with maggie about calling ahead - I phone ahead just for a family order (basically, a 'bucket') they appreciate the heads up, and have it ready when I get there. That or you can go in and place your order and go back out to the car for 15min or so while they cook it up for you. (they dont cook anything ahead of time so it sits under a heat lamp and gets dry and tough!!)
