What: Meeting on the Reciprocal Tax

Where: Bowsher High School
South Detroit and Arlington (Cafeteria)

When: Thursday March 18, 2010

Time: 6 PM

Everyone living in the city of Toledo who works in the surrounding suburbs should attend this forum to voice their opposition to this tax increase. How this tax increase might affect you:

If you make:

$20,000 per year you will pay an extra $450

$30,000 per year you will pay an extra $675

$40,000 per year you will pay an extra $900

$50,000 per year you will pay an extra $1125

If you live elsewhere and live in Toledo you already pay city tax.

This has been proposed in the past, and we were asked to show up at those hearings, too. The one hearing I attended in Toledo council chambers was in the early afternoon, and I had to take off from work to voice my opposition. Why do we still have to "voice our opposition." They should know by now we don't want it!
