Benjamin Moore Paints

I noticed while shopping at The Andersons that they are now caring Benjamin Moore Paint. It's nice that a hometown store and local company is carrying something else that is not exclusive to the box stores... Just another reason while I shop local.

It also seems that they have remodeled there entire paint department and doing a large expansion adding a larger garden center... Great!

Before, the only place you could get Benjamin Moore was down at Byrne Paint or at Perrysburg Paint. It really is the best there is.

As for the expansion, they are actually expanding the food section out into the former greenhouse area.

That's good news for the Andersons.

Ben Moore is a great paint, but not worth twice the price of SW. I wonder if the Andersons will give big enough contractor discounts to get it down to a price comparable to SW.

BTW- Color Concepts on Central carries BM also.

Yes my neighbor is a contractor... he's going to get a discount he said... Not sure exactly what but they said he would.........

And from what I hear from another neighbor who works @ Andersons... they're expanding all stores including Columbus stores...

ALWAYS GOOD TO SHOP LOCAL STILL

I had no idea the Andersons had stores in Columbus!

When I lived in Marysville before moving to northwest Ohio, I occasionally shopped at The Andersons store located in the Dublin area at, I think, the Sawmill Road exit. I didn't know they were headquartered in Maumee until I moved up here and found multiple stores.

There'a a piece of heavy machinery parked inside the former garden area at the Talmadge store. I hope they don't miss out on the lucrative spring garden season.

Andersons is great! They carry buffalo meat and German holiday goodies, they keep real wine people on staff (Talmadge), and the company supports a lot of community activities. They're one of the local establishments that make Toledo a great place to live. IMHO.

They also support the work of many non profits and community events in the city. They are a major asset to the toledo area.

I went to Lowe's three times and tried 6 -- yes 6 -- different shades of paint samples, tying to get the perfect aqua for my living room.

I stopped at Byrne Paint downtown, told him what they guy there what I was after, and he custom-mixed the perfect shade. Benjamin Moore pain, that is.

Annie,

Any decent paint store will do that for you. I don't even bother with Blowes or Home Cheapo, except for little odds and ends things
