I was driving downtown yesterday and I noticed that Ole (former Diva's) on N Huron street was now open. I as just wondering if anyone had a chance to check it out. I tried to find ut some info about what they have there but I couldn't find anything. It looks pretty cool, im glad to see more places open up downtown.
Ole Toledo and Tequila bar

My significant other and I definitely plan on checking it out. I promise to report back if we do.
I have been waiting for them to open. They were set a while ago and then got slapped with a cease and desist because the name they were using (Roco Taco or something). Anyway - if they are open I am going this week because it is supposed to be very tequila based and knowledgable. Thanks for the heads up, its a beautiful building.
im having a glass of tequila now in celebration. can't wait to check it out.
I cannot find any info on this place and their number is not listed yet.
Does anybody have any news?
Don’t make me get off my fat butt and drive down there.
Are you sure they were “open open”?

That is a great name! I like it even better than Rocco's.
I did see the now open banner on the front window on saturday. I agree Ole is a much better name than Rocco. I wish I could find the menu online. Does anyone know the price ranges? i can't wait to check this place out.

I tried calling for one to be faxed, but nobody is answering that number.
If they are smart, they are not taking what Diva charged into consideration. Same location, different food.
I am guessing 10 bucks for most plates.
I may just have to go down there for dinner this week and be surprised.
My favorite name for a Mexican restaurant-bar is/was the "Tequila Research Institute" in Bellingham, Washington
On a side note: in Googling about for information on this place I came across the slang meaning of the term “Toledo Taco”.
Not nice.
I will refrain from googling.

I just passed Ole and it's 100% open. I couldn't see inside, the windows are tinted.

I heard a rumor that it is to be managed by the same jackhole that ran Jed's on Reynolds into the ground. (The old Jed's near Trotters). I am truly hoping this is not the case...
thankfully managers are different than owners. they can be replaced if they do a bad job. i have high hops for this place.

Has to be one of the worst set of definitions about Toledo I have ever seen.

Okay, so we went yesterday to eat. The building is still amazing and a real downtown gem I think. The food on the other hand was bad. I can usually give things a pass, but I don’t know what they are thinking. The meat was dry, the corn tortillas rubbery and the refried beans looked like they were out of a can. I am a bean person and will opt for that over meat at a Mexican restaurant if pressed. But to me they should be somewhat runny with an almost grayish hue to them. These were dark brown and in a pile w/ a few pieces of shredded cheese on top. I have a friend that went and got the steak tacos and they said they were alright, so maybe it’s hit or miss. I would be very interested in seeing their business plan. Between having to change the name because they originally used one already taken to the fact that they now have “tequila bar” in the name and there is no mention or push of tequila in the place is odd. The menu has mostly beer and wine on it and then sangria and the house margarita. I was expecting more of a heavy influence on different tequilas and different tequila drinks.
That said; they are brand new so maybe they are going through a learning process. I would be interested to hear what others have to say.
Might try it tonite, take a chance. Maybe they have Don Julio 1942, ahhhhhhh
Hopefully the food quality is just growing pains. I plan on checking it out within the next week.

Had fish tacos tonight and my wife had nachos. Both of us had margarittas as well. Completely forgettable. Not bad but nothing to write home about.
