The Jo-Jo's Pizza Mayberry location was very busy tonight.

Much busier than they'd normally be on a Thursday night - I'm sure most of the crowd must have turned out because of the fundraiser.

We hit the City BBQ late -- about 8:30. Not many people in there but it was a half-hour before closing so that's probably why.

June 10, 2010 - WNWO story

A big benefit concert is planned to help those in Lake Township affected by the storms. The event is scheduled for June 19 from 1:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. at Yeeha's Bucking Bar and Grill in Oregon. Proceeds will go toward the newly-formed Northwest Ohio Tornado Victims Association.

Here are other ways you can help with the tornado relief efforts:

The American Red Cross is accepting monetary donations.

You can mail a check to the American Red Cross, Greater Toledo Area Chapter at p. o. box 595, Toledo, Oh 43697. Or you can donate at any Huntington Bank and Fifth Third Bank locations.

ISOH-Impact has mobilized its relief efforts. You can drop off items at their warehouse at 905 farnsworth road in Waterville... any Tireman Auto Service Center or at Levis Commons. The United Way is also assisting in the disaster relief efforts.

If you want to help out, call 2-1-1 or 1-800-650-help. The hotlines are open 24 hours a day.

June 11, 2010 posting to the notes section at Cedar Creek's Facebook page:

As of now Friday, June 11th, there are no more large scale volunteer projects that we are aware of in the Millbury area and we are receiving word that the Delta area relief efforts are over for large groups of volunteers as well. We will continue to take calls from people needing assistance and if we have a project come up we will notify people of specifics via Face Book and our website.
