My wife and I btried out a small Korean restaurant on Reynolds south of Hill tonight called Koreana. This cozy place serves traditional Korean dishes, and you can also order sushi plus a few Asian staples like the ubiquitous egg roll.
I had the Dolsot Bibim Bab, which is marinated beef, vegetables, and fried egg on top of rice in a heated stone bowl, while my wife ordered the Bulgolgi (thin slices of beef marinated in a sweet-hot Korean sauce). Here is a picture of the Dolsot Bibim Bab in the hot stone bowl, which keeps sizzling for minutes:
Both dishes were excellent and the service was first-rate, and the owner even came by and chatted with us to make menu suggestions and small talk. Koreana is open for lunch and dinner Tuesday through Sunday, and the restaurant is reservations only on Mondays ( it is fairly small, perhaps 12 tables, so it would probably be a great place for a quiet gathering).
