Just what we need another drug store. CVS overflooded the market, now gone. RA and Walgreens every other corner

I thought Rite Aid was near Bankruptcy?

Supposedly they are having some financial difficulties. When they bought the Brooks and Eckard chains to add market share and compete with CVS and Walgreens they took on a lot of debt. They had a 2009 4th qtr loss. They have announced the closing of 117 stores in 2010. Of the three dominanat chains they are in the worst shape. It could go either way. If I were thinking of leasing a bulding to them it would be dicey move. Anybody know if they bought the property or if they will be a tenant?

Wait. Is that the building that up until recently held the Boomtown flea market? If so, that seems far too large for a drug store.

And it's too small for a Wal-Mart.

Times are tough, they should make it back into a Bargain City.

well, it's got a huge parking lot and he's really putting the money into it. Hub worked there when it was BC, so I've seen it since it's heyday. it looks better than it EVER has and it's not even done yet.

yeah, it was Boomtown and that's another question I had...there's a new flea market in Great Eastern, same guy, different name?

lol, Hoops, I feel ya. we haven't had to park there yet but we go about 9p and have been lucky.

ronaldo, really? I've seen some excellent shows at the other one, that would be awesome, especially if they get some names in there. feel sorry for the PITP guy if that's teh case, I would MUCH rather go inside at night for a rock show. we really need a place like that over here!!

Rent out night goggles, and turn it into an indoor paintball arena. No heat, no electricity for lights. Just darkness and flashlights or night vision goggles.
