Everyday, several times per day. A recording for some political poll. It shows as a Sylvania number on my caller ID, but is always busy when I call it, or I get a generic Verizon message if I call with my cell phone. I called Buckeye to block that number, however, that would be an additional service, with, of course, an additional monthly fee. I'm just venting, but it's annoying enough to have my land line disconnected, afterall, the only calls are from this robocaller.

I just blogged about similar robo-call problems from 419-318-1970 yesterday, jbtaurus98. Today I logged at least my eighth such call in the past three days. This s**t is getting quite annoying.

I finally picked up after days of ringing. My AT&T line shows it as "Ohio Call" - Questions about Marcy, Guns, Abortion, and Strickland.
318 prefix was once a Level 3 prefix, with large blocks sold off to Vonage, RingCentral and other VOIP and virtual PBX providers - so the calls could be coming from just about anyplace.
Same problem here.

Haven't received a call yet from this, but have a similar problem in that whoever had my number before me must have been in serious debt or trouble. It's been 9 months and I'm still getting calls from various bill collectors/lawyers and some just don't understand "please take me off your list, I'm not Nick"

From my understanding according to the Do-No-Call list, if you request that you be removed from their list 3x, if they call a 4th you have legal right to sue for harassment. I may stand corrected as it's been several years and my memory is fuzzy on the topic.
Does bring up an interesting point though, when the calls are 100% computer generated, there's no one even to talk to (loop hole?)

Level 3 Communications. Calls believed on behalf of the Rich Iott for Congress campaign.
Political calls are exempt from the DNC list. Isn't that nice? The basta**s took care of themselves once again.

Good digging, max.

Well, that explains the annoying "Sylvania" calls I've been getting.
I am so glad I got rid of the land line years ago.
