At 12:30am My brother and I seen a amber light traveling westward
across the sky. It made no noise and was moving erratically, then
accelerated forward and up at a high rate of speed then disappeared
into the clouds!!!! UFO maybe? Anyone else see this?
Possible UFO

Weird, there was a thread here a year or so ago where someone saw something over near the lake.

KraZyKat - I know you went to Bowsher but "I seen"? Ms Papps would not approve. :)

This sounds like the same thing described on the primary election day. A guy in Perrysburg called in to Coast-to-Coast and described what looked like a star except that it was moving strangely, including a 90-degree turn, then accelerated quickly toward the west.

@upso...No, I was unable to document it. My little Droid Webcam phone doesn't do very well at night and it happened rather quickly.
@INC...I will look back to find the thread. Thanks.
@hockeyfan...too funny.
@rch101...45 year old swampgas cannot smell good!
@molsonator...Actually it was a cut and paste from my brother's Facebook status. I will place the blame for bad grammer there. HeHeHe...sorry bro. ;) saw an amber light
@Maggie... this object appeared to originate over P'burg, cross the river into South Toledo, and then proceed west before slowing; almost stopping in the sky. After making some erratic circular motions it accelerated very quickly upward without making a sound and dissapeared amongst the clouds. Maybe MUFON should know..LOL ;)

they sell these at fireworks stores, I bought 2 myself a year ago and set one off last summer when my 2 cats and my grandsons cat all died within weeks of each other. if you google hot air balloons and wind patterns, you will understand that it is possible for a balloon to hang and also change direction/speed up/slow down within a small space. check out the Albuquerque hot air balloon festival and the 'square'.
Nana, I suppose it's possible it could have been a lantern but it was moving opposite the wind direction. It also maintained its orange color, never appearing like a white light. Then it rapidly ascended. I don't think these lanterns could accelerate as fast as this object did.
I hear ya, man, my fam and I saw 'something' moving against the wind, twice, sitting in our backyard late one night. my post about it may be the one coffee is talking about:

and just for the record, since linecrosser brung it up, hot air balloons are not allowed to fly at night (no navigation lights, no nav equipment, no control), nor would one want to unless it was tied to the ground very tightly. I crewed many years for The Rainbow River out of Fremont and what I saw was most definitely NOT a hot air balloon.
