Medical Records Question

As a child I had a lot of medical issues with hospital stays. The old Maumee Valley Hospital, Parkview, and St. Lukes. My parents have told me some things, but I am not sure really what the medical reasons were and would like to know if it is something that is affecting me now, such as my kidney disease, or with my children.

I am 43 yrs old and would have been in the early to middle 70's. Do you think that this information is available to me and where would I go for the closed hospital? Forgive me if this topic was touched on before.

Forgive me if this topic was touched on before.

I'll forgive you, ToledoLatina. I can't speak for the others on ToledoTalk.

Your medical records are always available to you with a few minor caveats, such as psych records. I'm not sure how long a hospital will keep medical records, but if yours are still at the hospital you can get a copy of them for a nominal copying fee.

I have no ideas about a hospital that's closed.

Records from Parkview went to St. V's. Contact their Health Info Dept (what we used to call Medical Records dept). I used to work for PV and I now work for UTMC in the HIM dept, but I'm in coding, I can't tell you if we would still have records from Maumee Valley. Call 419-383-3668 and ask, you might get to talk to my daughter! :)
