Coming in September. I am definitely going. Haven't been there in a while, but love the dancing, stuffed grape leaves, spanakopeta (spinich pie) chicken oregano, and baklava.

it really is consistently the best food of any local festival.
I'll try to leave enough food for the rest of you - but I can't guarantee it.
It is indeed the best food fest of the year.
I am glad to see so many who love the Greek fest. Some of my friends think I am a light weight because I prefer this one over all the rest. More subdued and seems more about their culture than the rest. And the food, well…………
It is about their culture and the way they use music, dancing and food to celebrate life and events in life. Its truly amazing. You know the movie "My Big Fat Greek Wedding"? Well its really like that for many of greek families.
Does anybody know if they have Ouzo anymore.I was told they do not sell it anymore at the Greek festival.I find it hard to imagine a Greek festival without Ouzo. That would be like having the GAF without Jagemeister.

That is true - no Ouzo. I was told it was because those who enjoyed it - enjoyed way too much of it.
Only Miller beer (not my fav) and some pretty good Greek wines.
No Ouzo! I'll just have to drown my tears in baklava. Whats next no Guinness at the Irish Fest?
That's too bad about the Ouzo.It would be nice to have some to kill the taste of the Miller beer. Can't stand Miller products.

A tall glass of Mavrodaphne wine should do the trick!
Remember...it's the Greek festival.....if you drop your keys you better kick them all the way to your car!!
Just kidding :-)
I love this festival. I will be taking a couple of bags of food home to my neighbors, both of whom are elderly widows who don't get out, but love Greek food. Though they can't go, it gives them something to look forward to. Gosh, I hope I don't graze on the goodies on the way home. Must be sure to stuff myself silly at the festival before I head home.
Good food, crowd not too crazy, and excellent music and entertainment. One of the "do-not-miss" Toledo-area festivals.

Went Saturday night. Even though it was cool and had been raining, it was worth going to, as usual. Food (baklava, gyro, french fries with oregano, stuffed grape leaves) was excellent, as was the dancing. It was probably the lowest turnout, though, in years. Saturday night is supposed to be their busiest, but the rain and cold, I guess, kept many people away.
They made up for it Sunday. we went Saturday afternoon, tiny bit of rain but the grounds were wet, spent a ton of money, ate ourselves sick, brought home pastries, and had no problem with crowds, lol, perfect!!
We went all three days. Hey, it comes but once a year! Consumed massive quantities of food and drink and spent waaaaaay too much on other things........
Was anyone there later Saturday evening? We were there Saturday from about 3 until 8 and the crowd was improving but still thin. I felt bad for them 'cause I know how important Saturday is for the festival.
