Walk In Medical Clinics?

I've been struggling with major sinus problems for a month or so now. I can't breathe thru my nose for squat. Nasal sprays clear it up but it always comes back within an hour or so. I'm thinking I may have something more than just a simple allergy/sinus condition?

I need to go get some type of medical attention. I don't know where to go in Toledo. Someplace that accepts walk in's that do not have insurance. I understand I will have to pay up front but I wouldn't mind a place that offers payment plans as well. Any help or direction for me is appreciated!

My sister has used St. George urgent care center in Maumee when she needed attention over a weekend. There was no wait, professional staff, good followup and affordable.

There's also Northwest Ohio Urgent Care, also in Maumee, but I don't know much about that one.

There is a nice place on Navarre Ave across from Kroger. Nice place and reasonable. When I went last time I think it was around $120 with no insurance, and then Meijers for inexpensive prescription.

Doug, you are probably suffering from a rebound effect from over use of certain types of nasal sprays.I have suffered from sinus problems for years now.I was told that if you feel you must use a nasal spray to try and use the ones that have nefrin in their name. Also, one of the things that I have done is use a product called Simply Saline. It is used to irrigate your sinusses.I have had fewer sinus infections since using this product. The product is in an aerosol can and is strictly saline and will not irritate your nasal passages.I found that if I use it every day it will help keep the sinusses clear. If you are interested in the product you can purchase it at Meijer.

Along with buckeye I would recommend trying irrigation of the sinuses as well. There is a product called the Neti pot (and other variations) that is basically a glorified tea kettle that you use to flush out your nose. It sounds stupid but it works for people with acute sinusitis and other nasal problems. Here is one source explaining the benefits:

Nohj -- Have you ever used a neti pot? I have one, but can't use it. The salt water goes in, but doesn't want to come back out...

I went to http://northwestohiourgentcare.com/ per Maggies post. It cost $130 for less than a 5 minute examination. About 3 of those minutes was the doctor filling out the chart on how to charge me at the front desk.

She diagnosed me with Sinutitus (spelling?) gave me a prescription for Amoxicillin and told me to take it with Clariton D.

The best part is that Meijer on Conant/Reynolds gives you FREE Amoxicillin.

And I thought it was pretty bizarre that I had to sign a paper to buy the Clariton D. The paper promises that I am not using this to make Meth. I was tempted to go buy a bag of fertilizer and see if I had to sign a paper promising not to build bombs and rent Ryder trucks... but... ya know....

Thanks for the suggestion again Maggie!

Buckeye... that could be a possibility. I have never used nose douche until 2 weeks ago when it became nearly impossible to breathe thru my nose. I bought Take 4. I'm hoping to not buy anymore nose douche but if I do... I'll give your type of shot! Thanks!

You might be allergic to ragweed pollen, which is rather severe this year.
