Rob Steele or John Dingell

We seem to have quite a few Michigan people with strong opinions on the Kaptur/Iott race for some reason so I was just wondering the groups thoughts are on the Dingell/Steele race just across the border in the 15th district.

While it apppears that Marcy may keep her job, polls show Dingell now trailing in this race to Steele by 4 points.

Their next debate is the 20th at MCCC.

Ummmmm......talk about a career politician. Dingell has been in Congress since before I was born and I'll be 54 in December.

He's currently 84. Does anyone really think some fresh blood and fresh thinking wouldn't serve the Downriver area well?

I grew up in the Downriver area - Flat Rock and Grosse Ile. The demographics are very similar to this area - strong union area, VERY hard hit by any economic downturn because of it's lifeline to the auto industry. It makes my heart go pitter patter to see that the good people of SE Michigan may have FINALLY gotten the message that Dingell's departure is long overdue.

It's a family affair, too. Dingells' father started in the House, in 1933. Dingell the Younger later replaced Dingell the Elder. So I agree, it's way past time for new blood in that district.

Ya know his friends refer to him as Dingellberry. He's just as worthless too. There's just something about him and Marcy that the liberals like. Must be sex appeal.

Morons in Michigan: Dingellberry wins again. Senile 84 year old fart wins 29th term. Downriver Detroit - you richly deserve everything negative that comes your way.

This old coot and the illiterate John Conyers ("why should we read the bill before voting on it?") will do everything they can to continue the economic and social decline of Metro Detroit. <sound of toilet flushing>

At least Metro Detroit isn't as bad as Toledo!
