Lone Star/En Japanese Steak Location Monroe Street

Has anyone noticed that the location that was formerly the Lone Star Steakhouse on Monroe Street (and before that the En Japanese Steak House) has been demolished? I just went by there this evening. Curious if anyone knows if anything will be built in that space.

I noticed that tonight too! Must have happened in the last day or two - I drove through that area on Sunday, & the building was still standing.

I'm also curious to hear what's planned for that location.

That building had to bed in bad shape after all of these years. Tough entry/exit drive with the traffic. Only a national chain can afford this type of property by the mall

The owners of the Toledo area Pizza Hut franchise are still paying rent on the building next door.

It's been a boarded up eye-sore on Monroe street for over a decade now. Pizza Hut signed a long-term lease.

Looks like the that property is owned by Steven Reed (Reed Vision) through a seperate real estate entity.

Interesting.
